Zhonjianicthys is a genus of basal chordate that lived during the Cambrian period. It belonged to the Myllokunmingiidae, which are among the first known fish, and, therefore, the first known vertebrates[1]. It lacked jaws and scales. The genus contains the species Z. rostratus.
