An artist's illustration of "Yibinosaurus zhoui"

"Yibinosaurus" (meaning "Yibin lizard") is the informal name given to an as yet undescribed genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Early Jurassic. It was a sauropod which lived in what is now Sichuan, China. The suggested "type species", "Yibinosaurus zhoui", has not been formally described yet, but the formal publication is forthcoming, from Chinese paleontologist Ouyang Hui. "Yibinosaurus" was only briefly mentioned in the Chongqing Natural History Museum guidebook (2001) and is thus a nomen nudum.
