Vintana (from Malagasy vintana, meaning "luck") is a gondwanathere that lived in Madagascar during the Late Cretaceous period around 70-65 million years ago.
Description[]
It was a rather large sudamericid with large olfactory bulbs. This species represent another case of significant mammalian evolution throughout the Cretaceous, even with their coexistence with much larger dinosaur species.
