Story[]
Humans are natural creators, we’ve created things like the internet, the wheel and nukes. But what happens when our creations, and god or whatever’s creations, get formed into real, living beings? These are called tulpas, or concepts for short are real breathing monsters that represent actual concepts. And these tulpas have dethroned man, at the top of the food chain.
Life for Ethan Quick was mundane, he was average, painfully average, he was a 16 year old boy with straight, brown, chin length hair. Only thing people knew him for the fact that he was a nerd, he even had the signature big nerd glasses. This was because he liked comics, american or japanese he didn’t care.
RING RING RING!!!
School had been dismissed, everyone was tired. Ethan was out in the entrance of his school looking at his watch, his elderly grandmother was picking him up today,
‘’Did she already turn to ash?’’ he quietly whispered to himself.
On second thought, probably not the nicest thing to say, and maybe why he didn’t have any friends was because of his rudeness. But that didn’t matter right now, He finally saw his grandma’s signature red car. He got in,
‘’How was your day?’’
He didn’t respond, he simply opened his backpack and took out a big book about tulpas, he skimmed through it, sticking his head in the pages, he eventually settled on a ‘’cool’’ tulpa. The blood tulpa, said to of caused the most casualties of any tulpa this year, scarily enough it hasn’t been seen after its battle with the animosity tulpa. He in the image of the page a black, blocky head with white eyes with bright red blood coming out of them and a white spike design, which he thought of as representing the teeth, the final feature being a large pointy white triangle on either side of the head.
SKKRRRRTTT!!
Just before he stuck his head up he caught the a glimpse of the name of the person who took the blood tulpa, ‘’Yuri Harolds.’’
He grabbed his belongings and ran inside, he went up the staircase and into his room, he very loudly shut his door, it door was mundane grayish everything, it had a desk, a TV, a bed and other necessities, he plopped down on his bed, tucking himself in, he whipped out his phone and grabbed an apple from the nightstand beside him, he ruthlessly chewed into apple, he felt his teeth touch something, whatever it was, he was too ignorant to want to know or care, he went to a forum called Tulpapedia, a site meant for gathering and collecting data on tulpas
‘’Maybe.. Just maybe I can use this for my project, it also gives me an excuse to cuss people out though. So win-win.’’
He skimmed through the posts, looking for anything mentioning the blood tulpa,
Ah! There it is!
He saw a post that went like this,
‘’Whatever happened to the Blood Tulpa?’’
He then decided to check the replies,
‘’It probably died of its wound, the animosity tulpa did a number on her.’’
‘’Okay, new information, the tulpa is a woman.’’ Ethan quietly said to himself, as he soon checked other replies,
‘’Maybe its scouting out a ritual?’’
‘’What….?’’ Ethan had said to himself, he instantly went into his backpack to once again get out his tulpa book, going to the last couple pages for a glossary, he looked into it seeing that it means,
‘’Ritual- When a human devotes a certain aspect of themselves (mental or physical) to a tulpa, in exchange, the devotee will get a reward.’’
‘’I’ll do this… tomorrow..’’ he said, tired and sleepy, he yawned and closed his eyes.
He heard his elderly grandmother, yelling ‘’Dinners here! Dinners here!’’ he walked down the stairs, mid-way through, he felt a sudden wave of remorse, he was ignoring her, and acting like she didn’t exist for no good reason, she was trying her best to raise somebody to do good, and yet, what has he done to help her? He stood there, saddened by the fact he’s ignored ehr all her life, but this time, he’s gonna make it right! And talk to her!
CRAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSHHH!!!
A large, black feathered behemoth crashed onto him and the house, he was alive, for now at least, he was going to finally make things right, and yet, luck wasn’t on his side, it decided to kill him right then and there, he heard bells ringing and he drifted off into the afterlife..
He awoke, in a red, rocky place, screaming was heard everywhere, blood was leaking from the ceiling and pools of blood were everywhere, dazed he said ‘’Is this hell?’’
He heard a feminine laugh behind him.
‘’No way..? Im dreaming or something right?! Where the fuck am i?!’’
He then heard the laugh continuing, he looked behind him, he saw a throne, one made out of flesh and bleeding skin, attached to the chair was an all too familiar black blocky head. It was the tulpa of blood.
‘’Hey! Block-headed bitch! Where the fuck am i!?’
‘’That's no way to talk to a lady, y’know.’’
‘’Ok, fine, can you PLEASE tell me where i am?’’
‘’My sweet little pocket dimension, of course!~’’
‘’Why am i talking to you right now anyway!?’’
‘’Apples are a bitch.’’
‘’Anway, can you let me out! I have a dying grandma to attend to!’’
‘’No.’’
‘’Wh-wha-what the hell do you mean no?!?!’’
‘’I’ll let you go if you do me one eensy-weensy favor~’’
Ethan, exhausted out of his mind, laid there, in a pool of blood before finally saying ‘’Ughh.. What..?’’
‘’Do a ritual with me!’’
‘’Ok- fine, whatever, what’s the deal?’’
‘’You become my vessel, in return you shall be able to mix your DNA with mine, allowing you the full extent of powers, you’ll obviously need to train though.’’
‘’Ok, sure, fine, evil blocky-headed tulpa.’’
‘’The deal is done now!’’
He had returned to real life, seeing the broken wreck of what his home is now, he then saw the tulpa responsible for it.
It was a black-gray quadrupedal owl with a dark gray mane, it had a moth-like head with the same dark gray shade as its mane, and it had bulging red eyes.
This was the Mothman Tulpa.
Ethan felt his face, it was the same bleeding-eye blocky tulpa head as the Blood Tulpa, he then gained an innate knowledge of his power, blood manipulation, he could manipulate the blood of any person or animal, excluding tulpas, he soon got up, roared at the mothman tulpa, the battle had just started between them.
Ethan created thin, red, blood whips out of his fingers. slashing at the feathery back of the tulpa, it bellowed, as it turned its attention to Ethan, he lunged at the shoulder of the beast, creating solidifed, layered, clawed gloves out of blood he mercilessly slashed at the shoulder until it bled.
‘’DAMN TULPAS… RUINING MY LIFE WHEN ITS ABOUT TO GET GOOD!’’
He then slurped the blood of the tulpa, like a vampire bat. A surge of energy rushed through his veins, slurping tulpa blood makes him strongher, faster and more durable. The mothman tulpa then took notice of the violence, it attempted to slap the blood tulpa, using its other winged arm to slap Ethan. However, Ethan turned his blood claws into mere dust, going back to creating blood whips, using this technique, he sliced a section of the wing. The mothman tulpa screeched out in pain, it began purposely falling into houses in order to get rid of Ethan, however he kept on, in some dumb rage he re-conjured his blood claws and ran up to the dark gray colored back of the tulpa. He pierced the feathery skin of the tulpa, making it bleed, before running across the back with all 10 blood claws. He got a glance of some bystanders watching in awe and horror at the battle, he simply stared at them until he screamed,
‘’RUN, GET OUT OF HERE!’’ he ordered them pointing his claw at an exit, them, obviously scared they heeded the demand.
The mothman tulpa, took flight towards the dark starry sky, the cryptid tulpa flew up, trying to get Ethan to fall of it, however one of the blood claws was still deep inside of the flesh of the tulpa, Ethan was hanging on for dear life. He then had an idea, he used both of his blood claws to scale up the feathered beast. It was risky, but nevertheless, he still decided to climb.
He climbed through bleeding wounds, and then to the fluffy mane, he eventually reached the head. The antenna seemed so large compared to him, he then created blood claws for his feet as he took the blood claw hands out of the body of the mothman tulpa. He then used his hand blood claws to slash at the head causing the moth tulpa to roar out in pain, the feathery beast flew harder and faster as a result.
He dug inside of the tulpa reaching the brain, which he then slashed at as well. The Mothman tulpa dropped to the ground, it splat, pools of blood everywhere. He then arose, not as a tulpa-human hybrid, but as his true self, Ethan.
