Hungarian Abelisauridae Fossils
Based on a few limb bones, we know this small size, max. A predatory dinosaur reaching a body length of 1-2 meters. However, these findings are particularly important in elucidating prehistoric geographic relationships, as they confirm the long-known but little-proven fact that several dinosaur groups on the southern continents (Africa, South America), including predators Abelisauridae, have conquered Europe's archipelago. It is not possible to know exactly when the countryside was reached and which islands were populated. However, they were certainly present in the area of the former Bakony 85 million years ago.[1]
