Uintan paraortygid

The Uintan paraortygid is a currently unnamed species of extinct quail-like bird that lived in the Uinta Formation of eastern Utah during the Eocene epoch around 44 million years ago. It is a member of the family Paraortygidae, making it a relative of modern chickens, turkeys, and quails, and is currently only known from a coracoid bone.
