Triadobatrachus massinoti is an ancient stem frog from the early Triassic period of Madagascar. It retained a reduced, unfused tail of around 10 vertebrae. Thus, the species represented a batrachian form acquiring derived anuran (frog) features. Represented by a single complete skeleton - MNHN F.MAE.126 - Triadobatrachus is the oldest known lissamphibian.[1]
