Thyreosaurus is a stegosaurid dinosaur in the Middle Jurassic Period.
Description[]
Thyreosaurus is 6 m(20 ft) long on average. Sadly that estimate isn't an adult, meaning that there could be larger specimens for Thyreosaurus.
Discovery[]
There was a holotype skeleton for Thyreosaurus found in 2021. The fossil material was first introduced between 2022 and 2023 before its species validation. Later on, Zafaty confirmed that Thyreosaurus atlasicus as a new genus and species of stegosaurid dinosaur according to its fossils in 2024.
