Vectaerovenator is a tetanuran theropod from the Ferruginous Sands in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight in England. It is known from four vertebrae (one from the neck, two from the body, and one from the tail) that were collected from Aptian rocks in 2019. The name was first announced in a press release in 2020, with the paper officially describing the genus set to be released at a later date. The intended binomial is Vectaerovenator inopinatus.[1]
