Styginetta

"Styginetta" is the unofficial name given to a currently unnamed genus of ornithuran bird that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous, and past the K-PG mass extinction.

Paleoeclogy[]

“Styginetta” lived in the Hell Creek Formation. “Styginetta” would have shared its environment with other birds, some of which also survived the K-PG extinction event. The formation was home to many famous dinosaurs such as Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus. Along with dinosaurs, there were lizards, turtles, mammals, Pterosaurs, and Mosasaurs.
