Streptococcus validus, was known to have plagarised non-avian dinosaurs, causing them pain when their teeth deycayed to the pulp, and sometimes, even killing them, fossilising the S. validus.
The Streptococcacea evolved from the extinct ancestor species of bacteria known as Bacteriococcus x, which lived from 670-250 million years ago.
