Sarkastodon is a large oxyaenid creodont from Eocene Mongolia. Many other creodonts like Sarkastodon ruled the continent Asia until dying off most likely due to climate change and the rise of new competition 35 million years ago. It is currently the largest known oxyaenid.

From its time period, it would've most likely preyed on rhinoceroses and chalicotheres that lived in its area.

Sarkastodon was estimated to have weighed 300 kg, however, other sources stated that it reached weights of up to 800 kg, the latter being most likely outdated as new information and fossils about the creature show up.
