Sarcopterygii (from Ancient Greek "flesh wing") is a clade of bony fish referred to as "lobe-finned fish". [1][2][3] This clade contains these fish along with all tetrapods. This clade originated in the late Silurian era and has flourished to today. There are currently only two living relatives of lobe-finned fish that aren't tetrapods, being the Coelacanth and the Lungfish.
