Salterella is a Cambrian genus with a small shell. It has two current species, and laid on the sea floor. The genus is known from many places, Like Canada, Svalbard, and Argentina. A related genus named Volborthella was previously accidentally described as under the Salterella genus before becoming its own genus in 2003. Its species include Salterella conulata and Salterella maccullochi, but there are many more.
