Ptychomaletoechia was around during the late Devonian and could get up to 1 inch high. Fossils of the Ptychomaletoechia were found in Europe, Asia and North America. Ptychomaletoechia is a small-medium sized rhynchanellid brachiopod. Brachiopods are clearly identified by their nut-like shape to their shell.
