
Protorosaurus is a prolacertiform archosauromorph from late Permian Russia. The Prolacertiformes were the first archosauromorphs and would eventually give rise to the lineage that would become the dinosaurs.

Protorosaurus was a moderately sized reptile that grew up to 6 feet in length, was a thin slender reptile resembling a lizard (through convergent evolution) with long legs and a long neck.
