Prior Extinction

Prior Extinction is a popular dinosaur survival game on the ROBLOX platform. Pushing the limits of the ROBLOX engine, the game presents amazing graphics and realistic visuals for the fauna and flora of the game. There are two game modes, survival and sandbox. There are many survival aspects in the game, such as hunger & thirst, stamina, health, bleed and even well-being.

How to Start[]

When one begins the game, they can play as the following starter dinosaurs: Deinonychus, Protoceratops, Jianchangosaurus, Scelidosaurus, Guanlong Pachycephalosaurus, Concavenator, and Citipati if you join the JACYS Studios ROBLOX group on the ROBLOX platform. As you survive as your dinosaur, you gain Amber, the currency of the game. The longer your dinosaur survives, the more amber you gain. The amount of amber yielded from a dinosaur varies, and can be viewed in the dinosaur's stats in the main menu. For example, if you play as an adult Austroraptor, which costs 600 Amber, you will have a base amber multiplier of 16, whereas if you are an elder Diplodocus, your amber multiplier is 180.

Fossils[]

Another currency, known as Fossils, can be found randomly around the map and can vary in size. Fossils can be used to reduce the price by at most 75% of a dinosaur in Amber. For example, if you want to purchase Iguanodon, but you don't have the 200,000 Amber required to purchase it, you can use fossils to reduce the price at most to 50,000 Amber.

Players can also equip skins, which are various color & pattern cosmetics which don't change stats. Skins can be obtained with amber, micro-transactions (skin packs which can be purchased with Robux, an in-game currency that requires real money to acquire), and mastery.
