Pistosaurus longaevus is an extinct genus of plesiosaur found in France and Germany during the Middle Triassic. Pistosaurus is estimated length of about 3 meters long. Pistosaurus was originally classified as an advanced nothosaur until being classified as the plesiosaur it is today.
