Palaeomyrmidon is a genus of anteaters. Its closest living relative is the silky anteater (Cyclopes didactylus). Although the silky anteater is arboreal, Palaeomyrmidon lived on the ground. Palaeomyrmidon is known from a fossil skull that was found in Argentina.
