Pachyrhizodus is an extinct genus of ray-finned fish that lived during the Late Cretaceous in the Western Interior Seaway in North America, Europe (England and Sweden) and in Colombia, South America. The type species is P. basalis. The species P. etayoi, described in 1997 by María Páramo from the Hondita Formation in Colombia, was named honouring Colombian geologist and paleontologist Fernando Etayo. Remains of the genus also were found in the Kristianstad Basin of southern Sweden.
