Discovery and naming[]

Orodromeus was discovered in Teton County, Montana and was given the name by the paleontologists Jack Horner and David Weishampel.

Orodromeus was a fast and small, eight foot long herbivore that existed during the Cretaceous period It had a long tail, long, skinny legs, and short arms. Its legs allowed it to run fast, and were used to escape larger predators.

Orodromeus is a member of Euornithopoda.[1]

Orodromeus probably fed on small ground level plants, due to its short size. It also may have burrowed to make nests, like its cousin Oryctodromeus.
