Ninjatitan is a genus of titanosaur sauropod dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous Bajada Colorada Formation of Argentina. It is the oldest titanosaur known to date and the type species N. zapatai was officially named and described in 2021.[1][2][3][4]
Description and Discovery[]
The Sauropod's name means the "Ninja giant". Its generic name comes from a nickname of Argentine paleontologist Sebastian Apesteguia, and the specific name comes from technician Rogelio Zapata. It is actually known from post-cranial remains discovered in 2014, but officially branded in 2021.[5][6][7]
