- While Gorgosaurus itself didn't live in Alaska, another tyrannosaurid, Nanuqsaurus did.
- Quetzalcoatlus not only lived during the maastrichtian, not the campanian, but also lived further south. However another giant azhdarchid, Cryodrakon, is known from campanian Canada. Still, no remains of this genus are known from Alaska.
