Mamenchisauridae is a family of sauropod dinosaurs known from the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous of Asia and Africa. Fossils of Mamenchisaurus and Omeisaurus have been found in the Shaximiao Formation.

The family Mamenchisauridae was first erected by Chinese palaeontologists Yang Zhongjian("C.C. Young") and Zhoa Xijin in 1972, in a paper describing Mamenchisaurus. Other members of Mamenchisauridae include Analong, Anhuilong, Chuanjiesaurus, Datousaurus, Eomamenchisaurus, Huangshanlong,Hudiesaurus, Jingiella, Klamelisaurus,Tienshanosaurus, Omeisaurus, Qijianglong, Rhomaleopakhus, Tonganosaurus, Tienshanosaurus, Wamweracaudia, Xinjiangtitan, Yuanmousaurus and Zigongosaurus.

Mamenchisaurids were quite large, even for sauropods, with a shared feature of possessing lengthy necks that made up at least half of their entire body length.
