Kocurypelta is an extinct genus of Aetosaur that had its fossils found somewhere around 2012 to 2019. It was then later described in 2021. The type and the only known species, K. Silvestris was found in the Lissauer Breccia in Poland. Its fossils date back to the late triassic and coexisted with prehistoric turtles and archosaurs like Velocipes.
Discovery[]
During the expeditions of 2012 to 2019, lungfish, turtle, archosaur and archosauromorph fossils were also discovered here, and it is likely that Kocurypelta co-existed with these animals during the Late Triassic.
