King Kong (2005) is a blockbuster movie directed by Peter Jackson, the director of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The 3 hour long film reboots the story of the original King Kong story from 1933 for modern audiences. Most of the film takes place on Skull Island, a fictional lost world that houses speculative animals descended from previously though extinct animals, most notably the non-avian dinosaurs.
