"Jindipelta" (Lei et al., 2019; in press) is the currently informal name given to an ankylosaur from the Zhumapu Formation in China. It is known from a partial skeleton found in Cenomanian rocks. The name was first announced in the 2019 SVP abstract book.[1] It will probably be formally described in 2020. The intended binomial is "Jindipelta zuoyunensis".[2]
The name "Jindipelta" means forbidden shield in Chinese.
