John "Jack" R. Horner (born June 15, 1946) is a famous paleotologist noted for many events. Jack Horner discovered and named Maiasaura. The writer Michael Crichton based the character Alan Grant in the novel Jurassic Park after Horner in every aspect. Grant shared the same personality, knowlege, character, and even appearance as Horner.
