Elephantosaurus (meaning "elephant lizard") is an extinct genus of non-mammalian synapsid from the Triassic. Elephantosaurus is estimated to have around the size of a small horse. It probably used its sharp tusk-like teeth to dig up small shrubs in the ground or to dig up small insects.
