Falcarius is a Therizinosaurid from the Late Cretaceous, 94-65 million years ago.

Description

Falcarius utahensis was a 13–14 foot omnivorous therizinosaurid. It has a long neck, long tail, and long arms. Its claws were 4-5 inches long, and were mainly used for self-defense. Its lengthy legs were well-adapted to running, with the thigh shorter than the lower leg.

Falcarius used its neck to reach to collect leaves or fruits. Its skull contains 16 teeth on the upper jaw, and 28 on the bottom jaw. The front five teeth on the lower jaw are long and straight, whereas the rest were jagged and leaf-shaped.
