Estesia mongoliensis

Estesia (named after American artist Richard Estes) is a species of lizard from the Late Cretaceous of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. It was a close relative to the modern day gila monster and Mexican beaded lizard. Like its descendants, it was venomous. It was discovered in 1990 and named in 1992.
