Epidexipteryx was a small, pigeon sized dinosaur. It had feathers, climbed trees and foraged for insects in the trees. They lived in China, and were featured in Planet Dinosaur. This dinosaur was a genus of avialan dinosaur and only measured 25 centimetres in length and is estimated to way just 164 grams making in smaller than other basal avialans. this bizarre dinosaur's skull has several features that sets it apart from other dinosaurs. Its unusually large front teeth are angled outwards and are set at the front of the jaws. These angled front teeth have only been seen in one other dinosaur, Masiakasaurus. The name Epidexiteryx means display feather after the four long veined feathers that made up it's tail. these feathers would probably used for display unlike the shorter feathers that covered it's body which could only have evolved for keeping the dinosaur warm.
