Dynamosuchus, meaning “Powerful Tooth”, is an extinct genus of ornithosuchid pseudosuchian that lived in Triassic Agudo, Rio Grande do Sol in southern Brazil. It is the fourth ornithosuchid to ever be described. The type and only species is D. collisensis.
Description[]
Dynamosuchus, like most of its ornithosuchids, would stay on all fours, but may have adapted a bipedal stance when attempting to escape from the Triassic herrerasaurid, Gnathovorax. It had sharp, curved, teeth, but its bite was very slow and its jaw would not be able to handle struggling prey, so it would be a scavenger, eating up carcasses with their specifically designed teeth.
