'Dracopelta' (dragon shield) was a genus of ankylosaurid found from the Late Jurassic to the Early Creataceous in Europe. It was a primitive ankylosaur with 5 different types of scute. It's lack of speed and and intelligence meant that it relied heavily on it's armour for survival. As it's belly lacked any protection and was therefore very vulnerable, it may have crouched down and dug it's claws into the ground so it could not be flipped over. It's toothless beak was used for cropping plants for digestion. it was likely quite small maybe just 2 metres long.
