Dinosaurus is a genus of Permian synapsid. The type and only species is Dinosaurus murchisonii, known from a partial snout discovered in Russia in the 1840s. It has previously been synonymised with many different synapsids, notably Brithopus, although some consider Brithopus a nomen dubium, with the holotype humerus possibly being non-diagnostic.
