Cymatosaurus is an extinct genus of nothosauriform, or perhaps a pistosauroid reptile. The genus survived from the early to mid-Triassic period, lasting over 10 million years. It appears to have originated in the Netherlands and, for migratory reasons, Germany. It is a small eosauropterygian, measuring 1 to 1.2 meters in length.
