Cricosaurus was an extinct genus of Metriorynchid crocodyliforme, from the Late Jurassic, of Germany and many other countries. The name means "Ring Lizard". It has a whopping total of 11 species. The oldest species named was C. elegans(1852), and it is also the type species. In 2021, the 11th and most recent species was discovered, C. rauhuti.
