Creodonts were a group of hooved carnivores from the Paleocene to the Miocene.
Sarkastodon
They were the top carnivores until they were replaced by the dogs, cats, and mustelids. These carnivores were also too unspecialized and couldn't cope with the cooling temperatures. Some common members were Sarkastodon, Hyaenodon, Patriofelis and Dissopsalis.
