Portuguese Man of War
In biology, a colony is when organisms of the same species live together. Examples include bees in a hive, polyps creating the Portuguese man 'o war, or bacteria living in a colony on decaying organic matter. Biological colonies are the first step toward multicellular life because they are many cells working together.
