Cienciargentina (named after scientific and technological system of Argentina) is an extinct genus of rebbachisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous Huincul Formation of Argentina. The type and only species is Cienciargentina sanchezi.

Discovery and Naming[]

The three specimens, including the holotype (MMCH-Pv 45) was found in a locality of La Antena in Huincul Formation. In 2025, Simón and Salgado described it as a new specimen. The generic name is named after scientific and technological system of Argentina, while the specific name is named after Teresa Sánchez.

Description[]

It comprises three vertebrae, ribs, a scapula, and other assorted fragments. It is the fourth rebbachisaurid that was named from Huincul Formation. It was described as a medium-sized sauropod due to its femur length, which was estimated to be 84 cm, leading to its length measuring 10-12 meters.

Classification[]

It is classified as a basal member of the sauropod family, Rebbachisauridae.

Paleoecology[]

It lived with other rebbachisaurids, such as Sidersaura.
