Cave lions is a term for select large extinct carnivorous felids that are historically referred to as subspecies of the modern Lion (Panthera leo). In modern day, these species are now closely related but distinct species.
Species known by this name include:
- Panthera spelaea, the Eurasian or European cave lion
- Panthera fossilis, the Early Middle Pleistocene European cave lion or Mosbach lion
- Panthera atrox, the American Lion or American cave lion
