Bageherpeton

Bageherpeton is a Temnospondyl amphibian from late Permian Brazil. It was about 2 m in length and looked like a modern gavial, (a relative of the crocodiles). Its long jaws studded with teeth indicate that it fed on fish, crushing them with its reinforced lower jaw, and the presence of fish scales in the same rocks where Bageherpeton fossils were found support this theory too.
