Augustynolophus is an extinct genus of saurolophine hadrosaur dinosaur that lived in California during the Late Cretaceous period. It's only known species is A. morrisi.
Description[]
It is a large hadrosaur reaching 8 meters (26ft) and 3 tons in mass. The holotype (LACM/CIT) consists of majority of the fossil materials, such as skull,vertebrae, and hand.
History of discovery[]
The holotype (LACM/CIT) was discovered in 1943. The second specimen, consisting of parts of the skull and limbs, was discovered in 1939. It was named by Prieto-Marquez and Wagner in 2013.
Paleoecology[]
It lived with Prognathodon,Halisaurus,Frensosaurus,etc.
