Astorgosuchus is an extinct species of crocodilian, closely related to true crocodiles. The species lived in Pakistan during the late Oligocene period. The clade contains a single species, A. bugtiensis.
Behavior[]
Astorgosuchus may have preyed upon Paraceratherium, an extinct genus of giant rhinoceros, based upon finds of Paraceratherium bones that had conical tooth prints matching that of the A. bugtiensis. However; it is far more likely that A. bugtiensis preyed on the young, or else ill, Paraceratherium, due to their extremely large size as adults. [1]
