Apatomerus, which means "deceptive femur", is a genus of plesiosaur from the Early Cretaceous of the Kiowa Shale of Kansas, USA. It possibly closely related to Plesiosaurus. Its femur (thighbone) was first identified as the thighbone of a crocodilian, then a pterosaur. Apatomerus was first named in 1903.
