Allkaruen ("ancient brain") is a genus of ramphorynchid Pterosaur from the Early Jurassic period of Patagonia, Argentina. Its name comes from the language of the Teluche peoples that live in the region where it was found, with All meaning brain and karuen meaning ancient. Its scientific name, A. koi, also comes from Teluche, with koi being the word for lake. It was discovered in 2016. For an unknown reason, most news articles discussing this species accidentally misspell its name as Allkauren.
