Agriotherium Size Comparison

Agriotherium compared to a 1.8-meter tall person

Agriotherium is an extinct genus of large bear from Pliocene North America, Asia, and Europe. This bear was an apex predator all over the north. It would have hunted deer, cattle, horses, and other large to medium-sized herbivores. It stood almost 3 meters (9.8 ft) on its hind legs, was 2.7 meters (8.9 ft) long on all fours, and stood 1.6 meters (5.2 ft) high at the shoulder on all fours. The type species is named A. sivalensis.
