Acrothyra is a brachiopod from the middle Cambrian. It was from the Burgess Shale and compromised about 0.5% of the ecological community there. Some species also lived in Russia and possibly Europe.
Acrothyra was tiny, with specimens only reaching 2 millimeters. Acrothyra lived in clusters, and had a lophophore, allowing them to filter feed from the water, typical of brachiopods.
