Some pictures I’ve tooken over time of the native wildlife in my area
Nature is beautiful isn’t it?
What’s funny is that most of my friends thought the Egret picture was a real pterosaur based on the other dinosaurian pictures

As someone who watched an interview with the paper’s author over the paper itself, she says that while the melanosomes are traditionally related to iridescence, the way the are organized and the different sort of patterns you’d see compared to birds points to no, they weren’t iridescent
However, for those who don’t want to read, or watch a 50 min video, the main colors are ginger or black, but all they really know is that the scales are speckled, not really any true color confirmation like Microraptor, this really cool though
Not sure why, but I started writing songs for dinosaurs. Well, more like lyrics, I have an idea of how they would sound if I would want them sung, but I don’t think I sing too well.
If I had to try and find the reason, it’s probably be linked somewhere to my fascination with rewatching Howdytoons.
Idk really, but ig it’s best to start with a megatheropod, so I present
Mapusaurus
In the prairie, we’ve been starving for days
Now some herbis come to join our buffet
You are our prey,
You can not evade
Yeah you can’t get away!
See, you’re tiny horns,
Are just little thorns
Swinging your club,
Trust me that won’t be enough.
Why? Because we hunt Argentinosaurus!
Who are we? We’re

Mapusaurus!
Mapusaurus!

Lizard of the Earth,
Giganotosaurus, we were here first!

Ma-Ma-Mapusaurus!
Serrated teeth,
Wearing down prey by making them bleed!
Mapusaurus!
Ma-Ma-Mapusaurus!
MA-PU-SAURUS
Mapusaurus!
7 tons, and 40 feet
Guaranteed,
to come in threes
We hunt for the fatality,
So can we just agree
That you’re tiny horns,
Are just little thorns!
Swinging your club,
Trust me that won’t be enough!
Why? Because we’re related to Giganotosaurus
Who are we? We’re

There’s nothing you can do

We’re quite
Silent
We riot
Violent
Cause meats a part of our diet,
And you’re the snack we decided!
Yeah!
You’re surrounded, you’re stuck,
Yeah, your out of luck!
You’re skin may be rough,
But trust us, you’re not so tough!
For the hard of hearing boys,
Let’s repeat the chorus,

This is one I drew personally (my friend colored it)
Zombie “Giga”
^
I’d say make the legs a bit longer, and make the body a little less stocky. Overall, it’s still really good.
Sketals are always helpful for me when I want to know proper proportions
And I do kinda wanna know the coloring process, I draw myself and I think mine could use less of standard graphite color.
Anyone remember these? I began listening them again and they can be kinda good ngl.

Btw, for a while I could sit in silence without hearing DIMETRODON! randomly in my head lol.
Also Anurognathus is cute
Maip macrothorax
Utahraptor
Jaekelopterus
4. Mapusaurus
5. Therizinosaurus
6. Argentinosaurus
7. Deinocheirus
8. Spinosaurus
9. Hallucigenia
10. Anurognathus
The reason for these include chaos against the human race, my favorites, and me wanting to see Mapusaurus and Argentinosaurus fight.
The science inside me wants to say it’s like 9/10 accuracy wise (it’s a little chonk, with more Tyrannosaurine proportions over Albertosaurine) BUT OH MY GOG THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!
14/10 on the art.
Btw I’m genuinely curious how you color this well on paper.
^ I don’t think being attracted to moderately feminine/humanoid/possibly sexualized fantasy creature screams zoophilia genuine or not
The main issues were “Spineosaur”, Plesio and Daustro in the dinosaur list, and how the T. rex drawn looks very unwell
@Interstellar Voyager I didn’t necessarily mean inaccuracies, but I can see how that’s confusing
I mean, iirc there was a paper or article on how crocodiles, one the dinosaur’s closest relatives, ate vegetation
^wait elephants DONT GROW TUSKS NOW?!
I thought their tusk length was just reduced
I think most extant animals can’t really compare to dinosaurs, on average, most of the larger predatory dinosaurs got way larger than any mammalian predator on land. Plus based on the pathologies of animals like allosaurus, these animals were also very resistant to fatal injury, However, mammalian herbivores like rhinos, elephants, hippos, and giraffes have a much better chance,
As for extinct creatures, I could name 50-100 that either have a 50-50 with allo or just straight up win
I’m thankful people remember this video, my favorite part is how some move in a semi-realistic way, while Amarg is just break dancing.
As for a caption,
“POV, you’re a dinosaur trying to attract a mate”
If y’all think this is bad, my Lythronax’s legs are constantly popping off when I move them.
I don’t wanna start some huge debate over megaraptorids, however I do want to point out that 1. If it helps capture prey, it is used in hunting, doesn’t matter if it is used for killing.(But I’ll admit that’s more of a nitpick) And 2. They still would be effective as prey killers because any object that is sharp and/or pointy will stab and/or cut, that’s just how wedges work. So while I can’t deny the primary use of their claws is for grappling, stabbing isn’t out of the question.
