Dinopedia’s admins were hoping that 2022 would be better,but now,it seems that they have jinxed themselves
January 11th 2022:The first major moment in 2022,Kelbeam was unbanned
January 19th 2022:One of Dinopedia’s former admins,The Dragnor made a rant about Dan Folkes,a Skeletal Artist,but he saw it and humiliated The Dragnor on Twitter
February 2022:This was the least chaotic month in Dinopedia history,the only real major event was the removal of Galleries
March 13th:This was the peak of the Dragnor Drama,the user Palaeontologica made a post about it all,how Dragnor constantly unbans Concavenator Wrangler,how he keeps on going crazy about Spinosaurus’s lifestyle,this drama made many users have a break from the wiki for a while,and this made Dragnor’s Right hand Man,CrysOmega,leave entirely and made Dragnor himself a person who only pops in every now and then
March 15th 2022:Arguably the start of the Dinopedia downfall,a demotion vote was held on the first(of 2 million) Dinopedia discord servers,however this had severe backlash and eventually it was retconned
March 17th 2022:The day where one of the most influential members of Dinopedia history,Generic Friendly Ducc(Then called Very Inked),became a Moderator
March 29th-April 5th 2022:The First Moderator Election happened,the users Deltadromeus445,Gojiraaaaaaaaa,Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis and Mimikyutube were polled to become mod,in the Week long Period Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis was unsurprisingly elected as mod
April 8th:The Blocking Spree began,users who were active on both JP Wiki and Dinopedia were globalled
In Mid-Late April the only 2 Bureaucrats,Titanosaurus80 and 12 the Irritator,left the wiki,the controversial MemoryAngel became a Bureacrat via Desperation,and Powelord23,an ex-moderator of Dinopedia left
May 7th 2022:This was the end of the Concavenator Drama,the user Lamborlobator posted Dan Folkes’s reconstruction of Ceratosuchops and Riparovenator skulls,and immediately Concavenator made idiotic claims,such as how Dan Folkes forgot the nomen dubium Suchosaurus,how Dan made the skull wrong he started calling Ti58 and Lamborlobator Propaganda artists and started making baseless claims about how they said Franoys was making a Carcharodontosaurus Skeletal,called Ti58 an alt of Lamborlobator and Saurio the Spinowing but finally,he was banned from Dinopedia
Late May-Early June:12 the Irritator and Titanosaurus80 went on a rampage,banning many users such as Man With No Name On No Life and Carnotaur
June 12th:Acrocanthosaurus was unbanned from fandom due to an incident on JP Wiki
July 17th:Concaventor Wrangler was(controversially) unbanned from Dinopedia hell
Early August:A few months after Kelbeam got banned he got globalled again for posting an image with “the name of a certain African Country where Sarcosuchus was found” man
August 6th:The user Carnotaur was unbanned by Very Inked
In early September Carnotaur was demoted via his inactivity and cringe descisions
September 17th:The user TheBlueCrusader was banned for causing drama
October 9th 2022:Saurio the Spinowing made the biggest decision in Dinopedia history,he(along with Palaeontologica,The German Kaissereich and ThoradolosaurFan2779) started a raid on the Wings of Fire Wiki,spamming Copypastas,Images and made the Wiki shut down many threads for a few hours,because of this he was banned
October 11th-12th 2022:This was the peak of the downfall,the user Ducc deactivated his account and the user Spinozilla Aegyptiacus deactivated soon after
November 10th 2022:The user Palaeontologica deactivates his account,meaning that Dinopedia had very few people of higher power
November 13th 2022:To counteract this Lamborlobator was promoted
November 17th 2022:Ducc’s alt acc was also deactivated,meaning he has quit fandom entirely
November 28th;THE OVERSEER,the mysterious entity mentioned in Carnotaur’s iceberg appears,going by the name Water Burger,people were going insane but soon it calmed down
November 28th-December 5th:The mod election happened,8 people were asked to be moderators and eventually the user ScaryLookinHobo was chosen
December 28th 2022:The user TheBrandOfTheExalt made a post talking about banning Kelbeam,this was immediately shut down and never moved on
The future?:2022 Dinopedia was definitely a crazy year in Dinopedia history,but with the better rules,better moderation and such,the future seems bright
I genuinely hope that Dinopedia has a better future
